Productivity tools, they just don’t help.

They don’t. Look at any type, look at Obsidian, look at Notion, look at all of them. They just don’t help, they’re just a huge waste of time.

Every single time you have a so-called productivity tool and this productivity tool helps you format your text, helps you create bold and italic and different font sizes and different font families.

It’s a waste of time.

Every single time.

The only productivity tool that is out there, that is actually useful is a text editor. That’s it. Only requirement: load fast. I have it on my shortcut on my keyboard. And there I enter everything. New topic, new text file. No order, just a checklist. Notepad++ is perfect for that. One font, no formatting. And you don’t even have to save the files. They just reappear once you close the app. It’s just perfect. You write down what you want and then you can forget about it, save it, whatever.

But I’m so sick of those people that are always driven by some financial incentive to promote those tools claiming that they didn’t have any incentive. Even Obsidian, which is allegedly free, which is just a glamorized text editor even called a 2nd brain. But it loads slower than Notepad and it has these weird interconnections. And let’s be fair and let’s be real here. You don’t use those interconnections. You don’t use those links. You don’t.

If anything, you would just create a great web of interconnected documents. And once it’s all interconnected, you realize you have wasted your time. Time that you will never get back with a system that is of no use.
